WHO IS ?
Beaulieu
Canada is the country's largest manufacturer of soft flooring
products, and has been serving the Canadian and International market
for over 30 years. As part of Beaulieu of America (headquartered
in Dalton, Georgia) the company operates five plants in total in
Canada: broadloom plants in Farnham and Acton Vale, Quebec, the
spinning plant in Wickham, the new bath and floor fashions plant
in Acton Vale, and the area rug and fibre plant in Stratford, Ontario.
Beaulieu's first plant in Canada, for manufacturing
woven area rugs and extruding polypropylene, was built in Stratford,
Ontario in 1981.
In 1990, Coronet Carpets, in Farnham, Quebec, one of Canada's major
carpet manufacturers, became a part of the Beaulieu North American
family. The Farnham facility produces raw materials and houses the
company's national distribution centre.
In fall, 1998, Beaulieu Canada further expanded with the acquisition
of Peerless Carpet Corporation. Peerless had been in business for
44 years and had grown to the largest Canadian manufacturer of tufted
commercial and residential broadloom. This acquisition has positioned
the company as a solid market leader in Canada with sales of more
than 300$M.
Today Beaulieu
Canada employs approximately 1600 employees and offers a
broad spectrum of Canadian and
U.S.-made residential and commercial products, serviced and
marketed with programs such as Your
HomeStyle®.
Beaulieu Canada is able to use all of the products, programs and
capabilities of the entire North American operation to address the
needs of the Canadian market.
